    Our ski school office ist located in FÜGEN and HOCHFÜGEN.

  • When is the ski school office open?
    FÜGEN: daily non-stop from 8 am - 6 pm open also on Sundays and bank holidays
    HOCHFÜGEN: daily non-stop from 8.30 am - 5 pm open also on Sundays and bank holidays

  • How can I pay at the ski school office?
    We accept Visa, Mastercard, EC-Card and Cash.
Group courses

GENERAL

  • Where do the lessons begin and end?
    Meeting point for all booked courses in FÜGEN:
    on the left side of the Spieljochbahn cable cars mountain station.

    Meeting point for all booked courses in HOCHFÜGEN:
    on the right side behind the ski lift sales office on the exercise slopes (Lamark 1-2).

  • How many people are there in a group?
    Five participants is the minimum for groups.

    If there are fewer than 5 persons in a group, the Ski School reserves the right to merge groups or to reduce course time.

  • Which languages do the instructors speak?
    Our instructors speak German, English, Dutch, Italian and French.
    If you have special language requirements, we recommend booking a private instructor

  • Is the lift ticket and the rental equipment in the price of the course included?
    No, the price of skiing instruction does not include any transport fares or other services.

    Tip: In order to start the day free of stress, buy the lift tickets for Hochfügen online as well. 

  • Why no half-day courses?
    Experience shows, that the learning success cannot be compared to the success of a full-day course! Half-day courses are not recommended from a pedagogical or logistical point of view.

  • Can I join a course during the week?
    Our courses for beginners always start on Sunday and Monday in the Spieljoch or Hochfügen ski resorts.
    Advanced skiers (as soon as they can use a lift independently) can naturally also join a course during the week.

  • There are also group lessons on the weekend?
    No, because the normal change of vacationer is on Saturday, the courses always end on Friday and then start again on Sunday.

  • Am I insured at the ski school?
    No, therefore we recommend that you take out private accident insurance.

KIDS SKI COURSES

  • From what age may children can attend the ski courses?
    Children's courses are offered at the Ski School Kostenzer from the age of 4 years upwards.

  • My child is 3 years old, can he nevertheless participate in a group course?
    Every Sunday we offer taster courses for 2 hours during the morning. If this should be suitable, you are free to request the course in our Ski School office.

  • If I have already booked and paid for a ski course for my child, does he need a lift ticket?
    All children with 4 years and older need a lift ticket.

    Tip: In order to start the day free of stress, buy the lift tickets for Hochfügen online as well. 

  • Is there child-care over the lunch hour for children between the ski course times?
    For an extra charge child-care over the lunch hour including children's menu and drinks is available and can be booked through our online shop.

  • Is it possible to book child-care over the lunch hour for single days only?
    Yes, of course that is possible. Choose the date you require and place this in the shopping cart. Then select the next date you require and simply place this also in the shopping cart.

  • Can my child take part in races, even though the ski courses has already ended?
    We are happy to allow children, who have participated in the ski course during a given week, to take part in the races, even if they are no longer on the course. Just mention it to the ski instructor!

  • Can our children attend the same group course?
    If they have the same skiing ability there is no problem in placing children in the same group. Please make this known when children are allocated to groups at the meeting point.

ADULT & TEENS SKI COURSES

  • From what age can children join the teens and adult ski courses?
    From the age of 15 years.

SNOWBOARD COURSES

  • Where does the snowboard course take place and how long does he take?
    The snowboard group courses are offered only in the Hochfügen ski resort. If you choose private lessons, you can, however, also select the Spieljoch ski resort.

  • From what age can you recommend to learn snowboarding?
    We recommend snowboarding from the age of 10 years.

Private lessons
  • Where is the meeting point for private lessons?
    Meeting point for all booked courses in FÜGEN:

    on the right side behind the ski lift sales office on the exercise slopes (Lamark 1-2).

  • Can I reserve the ski instructor of my choice for private lessons?
    We are pleased to note your choice of ski instructor in our system and depending on availability to allocate him to you.

  • Why are private lessons are more efficient than group courses?
    The private instructor is able to adapt the lesson to the wishes of the participant and you can learn much more in a shorter time.

Ski rental
  • Do I neet a helmet?
    Currently there is no legal regulation on this in the Federal State of Tyrol. Of course, we recommend that every skier wears a helmet.

  • Where can I collect the rental material I reserved online?
    In our main branches in Fügen, Hochfügenerstraße 65, 6263 Fügen or in Hochfügen, in the Hotel Almhof, Hochfügen 30, 6264 Fügenberg.

    Your booked items will be at your disposal from 2 pm on the day before the rental period starts. In this way you can equip yourself conveniently and without panic.

    Opening hours are valid every day including Sundays and bank holidays:
    Fügen 8 am - 6 pm
    Hochfügen 8.30 am - 5 pm

  • Do I have theft insurance if I rent equipment from the ski rental?
    The material is not insured against theft. However, there is the possibility to book a theft protection fee for an extra charge. In the event of damage, the insured person does not have to pay a deductible!

Cancellation & Refund
  • How can I cancel the booked course or equipment?
    • in case of a written cancellation 48 hours before the start:
      5% processing fee of the payment made, but at least € 10,-

    • in case of a written cancellation 48 hours or less before the start:
      100%

  • Will I get the money back if I or my child doesn't like it in the course?
    Please contact us directly at the phone number +43 5288 63385.

  • Do I get a refund if I am injured or sick?
    Refunds for injuries or illnesses can only be granted upon presentation of a medical certificate from a local doctor - and only the difference.
